The Federation of Asian Polymer Societies
The Federation of Asian Polymer Societies, or FAPS, was founded in 2008 as an Asia-based organization carrying the intention to contribute to advancements in all fields of polymer science and technology, to promote continued cooperation with other polymer organizations, polymer scientists in member societies and affiliates, and to participate in other affiliations with international organizations regarding topics on polymers.
Conceptualized and constructed in 2007 by suggestion of Professor Jung-Il Jin (Emeritus Professor, Korea University, Seoul, President of IUPAC from 2007 ~ 2009), FAPS aims to stimulate constructive discussion and provide platforms for initiating joint collaborations between polymer experts around the world.

Past FAPS Polymer Congresses include:
1st FAPS: Nagoya, 2009
3rd FAPS: Bengaluru, 2013
5th FAPS: Jeju, 2017
7th FAPS: Vladivostok, 2021 (🖥️Online)
